ST. PAUL – Judge Joy Bartscher signed a warrant yesterday for the arrest of a Da’Shawn Latrell Adams, 29, of St. Paul, who is accused of sexually assaulting a female child under 10 years old and for lewd conduct in front of the same child.
Due to the circumstances surrounding the accusations, Misfits Media will not go into detail about the events lined out by St. Paul Police Sergeant Jeremy Doverspike, who signed the complaint.
However, in the interest of transparency, the complaint, filed in Ramsey County District Court, is linked in a downloadable format below.
Adams is facing counts of first- and second-degree criminal conduct with someone under 16 while in a significant relationship and two counts of fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct for masturbation/lewd exhibition in front of someone under 16, all felonies.
He is not listed as in custody in the Ramsey County Jail.
Karen Kugler, a sex crimes prosecutor with Ramsey County Attorney's Office, also signed the complaint.
Officer Doverspike was involved in the killing of Marcus Golden in 2015 by members of the St. Paul Police Department. While a grand jury concluded that the shooting was justified, a lawsuit filed by Golden’s family in 2021 resulted in a $1.3 million dollar settlement with the city of St. Paul.
