MINNEAPOLIS – A judge ordered that a 21-year-old Minneapolis man accused of raping a 13-year-old girl on multiple occasions can be released on a $500,000 bond earlier this month.

Edison Jonnathan Daquilema Minagua is charged with felony first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving penetration with a child under 14 years old.

Minagua told police that he raped the girl at least two times in November 2025 and said he was in a relationship with the girl, according to the complaint signed by Minneapolis Police Sgt. Eric Faulconer and Assistant Hennepin County Attorney Dan Allard.

While Judge Shereen Askalani ordered that Minagua may be released on a $500,000 bond, he remains in custody in the Hennepin County jail.

His next court hearing is scheduled for Dec. 23.
