General Strike called for Jan. 23
A general strike means no work (except for emergency services), no school and no consumer spending on Jan. 23.
MINNEAPOLIS – Several leftist organizations and labor unions have called for a general strike on Friday, Jan. 23 in response to the ongoing federal occupation in Minnesota
Organizations, including the Twin Cities Democratic Socialists of America and the AFL-CIO, are asking workers to stay home from work on Friday as an act of solidarity with the hundreds of community members abducted by federal paramilitary forces and for protestors brutalized by federal and local security forces.
A general strike means no work (except for emergency services), no school and no consumer spending.
Twin Cities DSA statement:
“ICE's violent and lawless enforcement surge is underway in Minnesota. It has cost the life of Renee Nicole Good. It continues to tear apart families, destabilize communities, and violate the freedoms of Minnesotans across our state,”
"We can't move forward as if this is normal. It is not. Human life is inherently the most sacred and violence against any neighbor diminishes us all. This must stop."
While agents from the Department of Homeland Security have been the chief violent actors in Minnesota, local security forces, including the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, the Minnesota State Troopers, the Minneapolis Police Department and the St. Paul Police Department have also attacked civilians upset over the ongoing ethnic cleansing program in Minnesota.
From DHS headquarters at Ft. Snelling to our local neighborhoods, cop violence has been witnessed by thousands of people first hand and by millions online.

Community members are calling for Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to leave Minnesota, for the ICE agent who killed Nicole Good to be held legally accountable and no more additional federal funding for ICE.
