Corcoran man accused of sexual assault of 13 year old

MINNEAPOLIS – A 43-year-old Corcoran man is accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl, according to a charges filed Wednesday in Hennepin County District Court.
Clifford Lane Vigeant is facing one charge of first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving penetration, a felony. The complaint was signed by Corcoran Police Detective Timothy Spellacy and Assistant Hennepin County Attorney Dan Allard.
Vigeant is accused of sexually assaulting the girl earlier this year.
After the assault, Vigeant told the girl his behavior was normal and “asked if she wanted to know what a penis feels like,” according to Spellacy’s complaint.
A neighbor the girl told about the incident, confirmed the girl’s report to police.
Vigeant is not currently in custody.
The case has been assigned to Judge Marta Chou and a first appearance for Vigeant is scheduled for Nov. 24.
