MINNEAPOLIS — A Bloomington man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for raping a 13-year-old girl several times of the course of a year.

Jose Ramon Traconis Salvador, 45, was convicted of two felony first-degree criminal sexual conduct charges following a January bench trial before District Judge Sarah West.

West sentenced Traconis Salvador to 172 months in prison and credited him with 152 days for time served.

Traconis Salvador had been in custody in the Hennepin County jail since his arrest in October 2025, shortly after the sexual assaults were reported to the Bloomington Police Department.

West also ordered him to register as a predatory offender and for him to be on supervised release for 10 years after he is released from prison.

In Minnesota, those convicted of crimes usually serve two-thirds of their sentence before being released. His anticipated release date is May 17, 2035.

A girl told police in October 2025 that Traconis Salvador raped her about 11 times since September 2024, according to an amended criminal complaint signed by Bloomington Police Officer Michaela Smith and Assistant Hennepin County Attorney Cassandra Shepherd.

A medical examination of the girl found she had an injury consistent with sexual assault, according to Smith’s complaint.
